The Com Ed Energy Force Ambassador Program has been partnering with NICIL since 2017. This unique, one-of-a-kind program places an Ambassador with the NICIL team at most community events.
The Energy Force Ambassador is a person who shares energy-saving tips with people who are interested in learning how to save money and be more efficient in their home, conserving energy throughout their home. Energy tips and materials are provided by Com Ed.
What makes this program so unique? The Ambassador is a person with a disability who represents Com Ed at the community events. NICIL partners by offering training, skill-building, and supporting the Ambassador at the community events. We have had a great time with our Ambassadors working in our five (5) county region sharing energy savings tips.
The Ambassador is assigned a job coach who is a NICIL team member. The Ambassador learns how to present, how to meet and greet new people, and how to conduct interactive activities all part of the Energy Ambassador program! The job coach is with the Ambassador at every event.
NICIL is searching for a new Ambassador for 2022, are you seeking a new adventure? Here are the requirements: A person with a disability, age 18 or older, be able to pass a successful background check, be excited to be part of the program, and have reliable transportation to and from events within the NICIL region. Com Ed and NICIL will train the right person all the rest!
There are 10 or more engagements (events) that are throughout the year. These may be Senior Fairs, Chamber of Commerce presentations, community events such as Taste of Fiesta or Christmas Walks. We look for engagements that will be fun, and we have the opportunity to share the Energy Force program as well as NICIL services and programs.
