The Home Services Program (HSP) offers individuals with disabilities who are at risk of unnecessary institutionalization the alternative of in-home assistance where home care doesn’t exceed the cost of a health care facility. HSP does provide an option that addresses needs and preferences which allow the individual to enhance his/her abilities and leads to a more satisfying life. NICIL conducts initial interviews with people interested in the position. To qualify for the Personal Assistant (PA) Registry list, an individual must be at least 18 years old, have a working phone number, and have reliable transportation. Once these steps are completed, there is an orientation class which is mandatory attendance to be placed on our referral list. Download the application below.
